🐾 Why Lucky Cat?

Cats have always been part of my life—but more than that, they’ve mirrored it. Curious. Resilient. A little wild. A little wise. So when it came time to name this business, there was only one choice.

Originally, Lucky Cat was a tribute to my beloved companion Akhenaten—Aki for short. He’s no longer with us, but his presence still lingers in my heart and in the inspiration behind this brand.

Then came a new chapter.

After buying our first home, we discovered that it came with a surprise tenant: a cat in the attic. She wouldn’t come down, and after a few weeks, she vanished. I assumed she’d moved on—until one day, I heard the unmistakable cries of kittens from above the ceiling.

The Humane Society wasn’t much help. So it was up to us.

That attic was more ductwork than crawlspace, so we called in our slim, fearless country friend to help. Eventually, we rescued one tiny kitten. Just three weeks old. I fed him with an eyedropper, and he became my little shadow. We named him Atticus (pun fully intended).

But there was still another kitten up there. We heard her. We tried everything—crawling, cutting holes in the ceiling, no luck. Thankfully, I spotted the mama cat slinking around the house one day. She was still caring for her kitten.

Two weeks passed. Then one morning, I heard meows—this time, outside the window. There she was: the second kitten, sitting on our doorstep like she’d chosen us.

We named her Annie. She was a spitfire at first—hissing, defensive, terrified. But we gave her time, patience, and love. Now she’s a daddy’s girl too. She and Atticus are the Lucky Cats.

And we’re the lucky humans.

Lucky Cat is a design and print studio focused on original art, high-quality stickers, and posters that spark joy, identity, and inspiration.

We don’t chase trends or quick sales. Everything we create is made to last, feel personal, and mean something. We design it ourselves. We print most of it in-house. We believe in creativity with soul—and a little weirdness never hurts.
